  8. This picture belongs to an era when late 70’s and most of the 80’s went galaxies away from the ideology of this country. I can bet all the bystanders in fact stadium audience is not there with a free will.

  9. Perfect punishment for people such as child predator, thieves, sexual predators, domestic violence and more. Liberals want to grant country clubs for child molesters, corporate criminals and more and in such it is liberals that are destroying our nation and morality.

In China, those executives from the Baby Milk company that was responsible for distributing poison as an ingredient to increase profit are now DEAD. The two main executives were executed and the others sentenced to life in prison with HARD LABOR. A perfect punishment for animals that killed innocent babies in the name of greed! Sadly, in America where liberals give child molesters a free ride and the side is owned by corporations thus gives country club sentences to corporate crooks.

Wake up, there is a place for punishment and society needs it to curb crime. I guarantee that corporate crime would be curbed if HARD LABOR or the death penalty was an option. In the same, thieves, child molesters, those that beat their wives and so forth would think twice if they new a nice public flogging may be their punishment among others for their sick and demented crimes!

  10. Since when is torture a good way to punish criminals? Since when is that a good way to accomplish ANYTHING? And yes, flogging is torture… not all floggings have to be, but generally speaking, they fall under that category. I agree that capital punishment could perhaps be used more than it is, but death is better than torture. There is a reason we don’t have an exacting judicial system. To give that kind of power to the government – the power to do whatever you want to someone; all you have to do is “convict” them of something – would effectively put us back into the middle ages, when everyone lived in fear of punishment. You want to know why all those people are watching? Probably because to not watch would seem to suggest that they were sympathetic toward the “criminal.” Then they might be accused as he was and sentanced to the same punishment. That might not be the exact reason here, but historically that holds true. It is the whip and scaffold that gives a dictator his power. If all he did was throw people in jail every time they stood against him, they would stand against him anyway. Eventually his prisons would be full. It is not jail that forces a society into subservience. It is fear, and horror, and pain, and heartache, against which the human soul hopefully rebels in the end. Tyranny and revolution, tyranny and revolution….. that is the cycle that humanity keeps following. Revolution exults in freedom for all, tyranny comes in when people forget how bad it was and want safety more than freedom. Safety from enemies, safety from criminals, “oh please, government, do whatever you have to do to protect us from everything!” It has been a long time since America’s revolution – I fear that our people are beginning to thirst for that safety which eventually leads to ultimate political control – and woe to us all until we figure it out again, and rise from that pit of human cruelty.

    • hmm

nobody from west has right to criticize or labeling this thing as inhumane when they are silent at invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq…..When they are justifying each n every inhumane act of Israel against the innocent ppl of Gaza…

  20. Assalam o Alaikum if u r muslim.u have un complete information that u put on this link.you did not mension about the crime of the criminal.so this is not fair to take the comments of the people without telling them comlpete information.I dont know what is the crime of this man.but I think that this is the in result of sex.According to Islam if a man r women is involve in sex rape then if they were un married then 100 sticks r beaton on them (Koras).in this place sex or rape means sex without marriage.and if a man r woman did sex with other than his r her marriage partner then to kill them both.so again I m saying that on this link un complete information has been putted on that.and the results which r I mensioned should b implemented on public place.if u have any query about my words then u can consult with any Islamic scholer or Moulana.
    Thank u very much

    […]Public flogging in Pakistan «[…]…

  33. You Pakistanis have really forgotten what Jinnah said or you just don’t give a shit. Zia ul-Haq was not wild, he was a true madman the unrightly hanging of Bhutto and implementing the Sharya laws but only partly proves me right.

  34. Zia was the only Patriotic Pakistani Ruler after Jinnah.

The reason for him being beaten in public is because he is a criminal. No one would say this is inhuman or cruel if the person being beaten in public raped their mother or sister. Or killed their brother or father. Or burned some one’s business down. Or killed 100s of people just because some political party said so.

The level of crime was far less in Pakistan in Zia’s time as compared to what we have today.

Unfortunately since criminals are not caught or punished or beaten we live in an unsafe society.

May Allah grant Zia ul Haq Jannat.
